Ignite by Karen Erickson

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I found this author through facebook ads (yet again! I have been loving my facebook ads!) and her new release Ignite looked interesting, so I signed up to become part of her release week promotions 🙂

He will win the girl that got away. No matter what it takes…”

My Review

Weston Gallagher was always a trouble maker when he was growing up. He lived in the shadow of his high ranking firefighter father and serious older brother. He wanted to get away from small town life where everyone knows everything about you and finally strike out on his own. The night before he leaves Weston finally acts on his feeling for Harper Hill, only to leave town without telling her the next day. Eight years later Weston moves back to Wildwood to accept a job at as an engine driver at the fire station, but when he sees Harper for the first time since then he knows he’s not over her.

Harper Hill is the typical good girl. The town knows her as always being the polite soft spoken girl nice girl. She has a nice boyfriend, with a nice job living a nice life, but she wants more. Her relationship is falling flat and she wants to feel some passion. In walks Weston and she knows she can’t ignore his presence.

This was an enjoyable read. I liked the characters and the plot, but the steamy scenes were just a little too drawn out for me which took away too much of the story for my liking. I did enjoy the story though and I am looking forward to reading more about Lane and Holden (ESPECIALLY Lane! 😉

If your looking for a quick man in a uniform romance, then you will enjoy this one. I liked all the sexy firefighters in Ignite 😉

My Rating: 3.5 stars
